What? No bathtubs?
I have to tell you guys about this.....it's truly amazing that people can be so absolutely stupid. But I don't have time to go into it completely right now, so I will tell you later what happened about the bathtubs at our 'resort' in Orlando.

Funny people.

Made it to the half way point!
I know you are all probably tired of hearing about my weight loss, but I just can't help myself. I finally made it past the half way point of the amount of weight I want to loose to get to a normal BMI. Now that is exciting! The worse part is that I have only lost 4 pounds in 30 days. That scares me, but I was told that the weight loss amount would slow down. I am 5 1/2 months out from surgery and it definitely has slowed down. It's ok though. I am still loosing!

I got myself a part-time job. I am actually working again! YUCK! I don't like getting up in the mornings so early, but I do like the job. It's an Administrative Assistance to an independent insurance salesman. He is really nice. I am enjoying it so far. The great part about it is that if I want to, I can quit anytime. For now, I will stick with it.

My hubby and I are leaving Friday to go to Orlando and Disney World. We will be there for a week. I can hardly wait. We have never been to Disney so we are both really looking forward to it.

See ya when we get back!

A weekend with my daughter....

Heather spent the weekend with me and Tom. She and I spent all day Saturday getting beautiful, shopping and just spending time together. We shopped again today. I have really missed her since she moved to Franklinton (since we don't see each other as much) and works so hard at her job. She has a long commute each way, so we do get to chat almost everyday in the afternoons on her way home.

She is a very funny person. She has a beautiful smile that makes everyone around her feel good when she shares that smile. And her sillyness is catching too! She has a loyalty that is unending. To know her is to love her.

Heather:

I enjoyed this past weekend so much. I had lots of laughs with you. We are so different and yet we enjoy each other's company so much. It's funny that even though we ARE so different, we are so much alike too. We like the same clothes, movies, music (sometimes), foods, etc. I just love being with you when you are happy because that makes me happy.

And, of course, I will always be there when you are sad, so that I can hopefully cheer you up again. You always do the same for me!

Heather, you are a beautiful woman! You make me laugh, you make me smile, and I have so much love for you, it makes me cry sometimes too. I am so proud of you. You are such a special part of my life. Thank you for sharing your life with me! And thank you for all your support. You are my daughter and my friend.

Much love,

Mom

It keeps going and going and going....
It's sort of like the Energizer bunny....the weight keeps going and going and going. :-)

At my last post, I had lost 65#s and was big time stalled. Since then I have lost 6 more pounds and am at 71#s now. Yahoo! This is really exciting.

My biggest problem right now is finding clothes. I used to know exactly what size to buy without trying them on at the store. Now I don't know. They are either too big or too small (just a little snug) when I get home. If they are too big, I take them back, if they are too small, I just keep them, because one day I will get in them. It will be pretty soon probably.

My weight loss has slowed down, but that's ok, because my body needs to catch up with itself. My hubby looks at me every few days and says "you are getting skinnier." That's nice to hear.

Chickadee!
I finally got a new mouse, well ok, new used. I found it in the drawer and it works fine. It is an optical mouse like my other one, but the left click stopped working on the other one. I was getting pretty good at pointing with the mouse and clicking with the finger pad. I will have to get a brand new mini mouse sometime soon though. This one is too big. It'll work out.

I am watching the birds starting to show up at my feeders. I try to keep them filled with seed. Besides the beautiful cardinals, this little black-capped chickadee is showing up regularly. He is a pretty little bird. He is only about 4" long, tail included. It looks like someone took a paint brush and painted the black on him. It is so defined.

I have a feeder right in front of my living room window, because I enjoy watching them off and on all day. I have seen them do some really cute things and funny things too. I saw one dove running after another dove the other day. The chaser ran the runner all over the yard. It was funny. I never did see the end of the chase, so I don't know the end results. Oh well.

We are having a few VERY LIGHT snow flurries right now. It's so cold outside and the wind is blowing. It makes it feel a lot colder than it really is.

Just wanted to say hello and let you all know what's going on in my life, which isn't much right now. Yay!!!!!!!!
