Yesterday was our 17th anniversary. We went out and had dinner at a seafood bar which was really good. While we were eating, we were talking about going to Wal-Mart on our way home. Now that is what I call a nice anniversary outting! NOT! We finally decided to do something we rarely ever do and that was to go to the Casino and loose money.
So off we went. It's been so long, we couldn't even remember how to work the slot machines. Sad huh? Anyway, we finally figured out everything and within an hour we had lost $50.00 so we left and came home. It's fun to go to the Casino every once in a while, but I just don't understand those people that go there every day and just gamble away their money. Some man came up to the machine I was on and told us that he had just sunk $600.00 into that machine and $400.00 the other day. How do people DO that????? That's insane!
I can think of a lot more things I can do with a $1000.00 than sink it into a slot machine. DAMN! I just can't figure that out. I know it's an addiction, but DAMN! I don't have that kind of money to just stick in a machine! I can't even get that kind of money OUT of an ATM machine. Don't ATMs have a limit of $200.00 or $300.00 a day anyway?
Oh well, we went and we had fun for about an hour and blew our little $50.00. Done; over. We had a nice time with each other and that was the whole point.
We are making lots of progress at home..... the painting is finished now and if blogger would let me, I would post some pictures for you to see. Can't though, blogger is not cooperating today. Guess I will have to change over to the new beta one from Google. Hmmmm? Anyone out there done that yet?
We are in the process of rolling up the paper off the floor and vacuuming the sheetrock dust up. I am glad we have a rainbow vac. We would never get this crap up if we didn't. It would just blow through any other vacuum. Thank God for the water that captures all the dust. It just about makes concrete in there. Dump often and start again.
Gotta go now, drug store gave me wrong meds. Got to get there before 2:00 p.m. to get that straight. There I go again....doing other people's jobs for them. What ever happened to self pride in work and caring about the end product? No one cares these days. One of my pet peeves.
Oh, one week now since retirement and I still just feel like I am on vacation. More later!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! i look forward to seeing the pics when blogger allows....................
love, larkie
